Chronic neuromusculoskeletal pain is the leading cause of physical, emotional and mental disability in our society and around the world. Body Therapy is designed to address the physical, emotional and mental planes of the human condition. Sleep disturbances, hyper-arousal, and anxiety all create physical tension and stress can damage health. The nervous system goes into survival mode, stress hormones such as cortisol are constantly released and the body is in a perpetual flight/fight state.
Body Therapy includes health coaching to provide emotional support, pilates movement and massage therapy. The combination of both therapies increases strength and mobility, reduces pain and promotes faster recovery and growth. The elements of the therapy uses imagery, addresses the nervous system, and facilitates cognitive behavioral therapy.
